Haley does some silver brazing on these tuna meat core sample tools!
This is test fixture that needs to be as light as possible. The thicknesses range from 5/8″ to 1″ thick. All butt welds had a generous bevel. Start to finish was some 18 to 20 hours of welding, and 2 lbs of very expensive magnesium filler.
Very nice material to weld, all things considered.

As Jaytech moves slowly into the blogging universe, I have to seriously study (re: goof around) with various tools and programs-my head is spinning with style sheets, themes, widgets, and plugins! In the meantime, a customer brought in this magnificent fish tail muffler for us to fill in a hole. Yeah, we can weld that! We get the coolest stuff in here sometimes.
